SUFA road relay

1st December 2012 was a historical day for me, us, the athletes, students of FmeD and our couch. Ooooh December. There will be many sorts of things we are going to face this December; quizzes, seminars, programs, final examination. ~(@.@~)

....DECEMBER....

Well, that day was the closing ceremony for SUFA, sports inter-faculties. The last event was road relay whereby each of group consists of 7 students, run as fast as possible, one by one, the 400m tracks, passing baton, shouting, cheering, giving supports, collapsed (usually the girls), amazing, craving for gold medal, and that moment was superb.

Nik didn’t join this event, but Fana and I did. Somehow, he still came giving supports to both of us and other team from our faculty. Of course, he had representing our faculty for badminton and that was enough for him. Let other students join road relay or he will conquered all events. (Just kidding).

what an awesome guy ---> NIK.. :P

Frankly, I could see each one of us showed their determination. I believed they had done their best. Even the baton accidentally fell down, she wasn’t give up easily. She picked up the baton and continued running to the finishing line. Even she knew she wouldn’t get the gold medal or silver, she still finished her run. Even her legs were cramp, she insisted to stop before reaching the finishing line though she had to walk slowly, unable to run as other people. These are few things I could see today and these are all about our determination, sportsmanship.

I am glad, happy, delighted, pleased and yeah, it is fun. Thankful to God.

One for all, all for one, we are family.. champion for 3 years successively... :)

S.C.R.A.B.B.L.E

it has been a long time for not updating our blog. well, first and foremost, lets be thankful to Him that we are still breathing till today. alhamdulliah...... we manage to be medical students at FPSK, USIM. But, it is not located at nilai, it is at Pandah Indah, Kuala Lumpur. *hey there friends at nilai, do you know that we are here?* :P

Actually, though we are at the same faculty, but we are rarely giving chances to be in a group (nikzafana). In fact, zafa and fana have no chance to be in the same group at all. somehow, it is not a big matter to deal with since we can still talk to each other, discuss about thing during leisure time and eat together?? haha

So, i would like to tell you about my English lesson by ms Q. WOW, she is super amazing!! (ehem, all my teachers, lecturers are super amazing too) Last Tuesday, i played scrabble with my peers and it was awesome since i had never had an experience playing this kind of awesome game with my awesome peers who were able to make up an awesome word. AWESOME!! haha. I thought that scrabble was boring, sleepy game. but, actually i was wrong. this game is super interesting and fun. somehow, i still want to say that scrabble is all about your luck. my friend, aini, succeed to use all the seven tiles for a word 'hotness'. wow, aini was then a hot girl! LOL. i was in a group with wafa', amira and hilmi. we played about an hour. guess what? i am the first one in my group to say "i challenge the word" proudly and bravely for the word "ev" made by wafa'. then, we checked it using the dictionary in my friend's iphone and it really exist. ev=electron volt. then, bad luck, i lost my turn. -,- (pity me huh?)

ms Q then approached us and see how was it going? then she stared the word 'oxe'. what was that? hahahahahaha, "ms, i made that word and i convince that that word does not exist in this world but i dare my myself to make it and lucky me, nobody challenge me". that is what we call as luck! @.@''

things got complicated when i only had the word Q,Z and another letter (sorry, i dont remember). Arghh!! but, ms helped me!!! she made the word QUOT and ***** (say again, i dont remember, by she managed to used the word Z at the same time which then give me the highest score for that round). hahahaha...

unfortunately, i was not the winner. Amira was the winner.... congratulation!!

anyhow, frankly said, playing scrabble is fun. it is not just about enjoyment, but at the same time test our vocabulary. now, i realize that i still have poor vocabulary :(

so, don't just stop here. lets study smart and be a better person for today compared to yesterday :)

Friendship status

(this maybe too long)
Sahabat and Friends
Both initially give the same definition physically; instead both terms actually illustrate two different situations in our friendships (you'd learnt that before).

Something about friends

Let us recalled our memories.

  • When we were in kindergarten, we had some peers to play and learn with. Well, that time, I guess it is too young to understand the topic we are discussing now. We enjoyed our lives and there were not many responsibilities to hold on that time compared to who we are today. We played with crayons, magic pens, marbles and what so ever stuff we had.
  • During primary school, life was not much change like in kindergarten. Thing I realized the different the most was that I got more friends. It was like when I know that person, automatically then she or he was my friend though we did not spend much time together. I had my diary I kept in my wardrobe which I wrote my story (don’t laugh). I asked my ‘best friend’ to fill some parts in my diary about their background; name, phone number, address, hobby etc. (I guess most of the girls did it). I really hoped they would still be my best friend forever.
  • Being a secondary school student had really opened my eyes about friends. Most of us had quite good number of friends and so do I. Some of us had their own gang or study group that strengthened the friendship between the members. The juniors were very close with the seniors. The classmates and the roommates were very intimate among them. They are all friends!
(Okay, don’t  you sometimes feel isolated in a crowd?)
How many of you who still keep in touch with those friends you had before today?
Though you have many friends, how many sahabat among your friends you have? (I should ask myself too)

A brief explanation about sahabat

Sahabat reflects who you are. It is very hard to find true friend but Islam has shown us the way to find sahabat. Some of the signs that she or he could be your sahabat are:

One companion asked Rasulullah (saw), “Who can be my best friend?”
Rasulullah (saw) answered, “Your best friend is a person: *when you see him, he makes you remember Allah; *when you listen to him, knowledge of Islam is increased; and *when you see his actions, you are reminded of the life of the Hereafter.”
#copy paste

There are other signs that he or she could be your sahabat. (Go google by yourself)
So, Islam has told the ways to find the best friend. But, people keep saying that it is very hard to find even one best friend.

Have you ever think if everybody keep searching, hoping to meet a sahabat, but at the same time, we do not have the characteristics to be a best friend, how can we meet one? We may have someone, but typically it is very hard.

Therefore, why don’t we make changes?, rather than bothering ourselves to find sahabat, revert yourself to be a real muslim who satisfy the guidelines to be a best friend. Then, people will look for you.

Imagine (glee cast, I love it) that when every person on earth has those qualities, everyone is our best friend, close friend, sahabat. Life will be truthfully wonderful. I guess people will say it is difficult to be like them (I think I’m one of the people) but, everything to happen needs effort. So, work hard and smart, istiqamah, and always zikr Allah. Insya Allah.

Questions:
*will you be my best friend?
*can I be your best friend?
*can we be best friend?
(I choose the third question)
#btw, dear best friends, please remind me, always.

That's all, sorry for any mistake, inconsiderable idea. (maybe)

The rising fuel price has pushed up the price of other consumer products. How will this affect the society? Give your opinion. You should write at least 350 words.

Money is not everything, yet people still need money to continue breathing peacefully in today’s era of materialism. People who have silver spoon in their mouth can live in luxurious way without worrying about money, but how about the poor people? Either you realize it or not, rising in fuel price which has pushed up the price of consumer products really affect the society namely, widening the gap between the rich and poor background social, increasing vice activities and reducing the population trend in a long term.

First and foremost, the gap between the rich and the poor will grow at the same pace as the economic growth. Hence, the poor will continuously stay in a rich world so that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. To illustrate, the rising in the price items causes the poor hardly to support all the needs of their family as they do not have enough money. In a meantime, their daily expenditure automatically multiplies and they will try to cut it as much as they can. Conversely, the rich will stay in a luxurious life although the world experiences this alteration in the price items. As a result, the growing inequality gap between them gets broadened in most every developing country including Malaysia. Therefore we can conclude that the poor region will remain poor if there is no organization from the responsible parties that can help them to reduce their burden.

Next, rising of fuel price can cause the basic necessities of consumers’ products will be more costly and lead to increase in vice activities among irresponsible people. Producers will store and hoard the items in a warehouse to further increase the price of products from time to time. At that point, the basic essentials such as sugar, rice and flour will be great in demand and by hook or by crook, consumers still have to purchase the items although the price is higher than usual. Furthermore, news today reported that, smuggling of these items prove that vice activities is on the rise. For example, rise in sugar price causes the producers to reduce the distribution of sugar as it cost more fuel to travel to and from the supermarket. To solve it, the government had taken an initiative to fix 2kg of sugar per person; somehow, the sugar is still running out of stock. In an overall view, increase of fuel price had definitely caused more hardship to society today.

Other than that, the demographic of the society will be greatly affected. Nowadays, society is more aware of birth control and family planning as to maintain financial stabilities and ensure a cozy life and also cater all the needs like food, clothes, and education. Hence, society will consciously decide not to have too many children since new families with fewer children will surely spend less on basic necessities. Consequently, the population will greatly incline which leads to reduction of workforce in future. Moreover, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad stated that in Vision 2020, in our drive to move vigorously ahead nothing is more important then the development of human resources. Therefore, the productivity and prosperity of our country will be affected in future.

In conclusion, incline in consumer products due to increase in fuel price has become an irony among the society. Why don’t we turn a new leaf rather than keep discussing about this issue by giving subsidy for each product because even the fuel price has risen, we are still able to purchase the products as the same price as before; no need to change the bar code, tag price or advertise the new price of products. Thus, the government should consider other alternative to put a stop to this matter.

The last question, and the worst thing our group does not have the chance to choose the topic...

With effect from January 2003, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumet Affairs has made it compulsory for all original optical discs (CD, VCD, DVD, CDR, CDI, LD and MD) as well as cassettes and video tapes to be labeled with the ministry’s original label prior to being released into the market. Do you agree that such illegal action can be easily prevented? Discuss your views.

How can you prevent yourself from watching illegal actions in today’s globalization that everything is at your fingertips? Will you blame your parents or the government which has made compulsory to label all the original optical discs that have been censored from illicit actions? The sources to view them are very huge and the widespread of pirate DVDs and CDs among the citizens that dirty animations are not being cut is also the main reason. Besides, it is not possible nowadays for cunning people to imitate the labels on the optical discs. Therefore, we strongly agree that illegal scene are still cannot be prevented easily.

Internet is a sophisticated way to get on the net. Nowadays, our government possesses an extraordinary step to enhance the connection in our country by setting up a network coverage that covers from all corners of the country. Wifi and broadband manager are two common servers that provide internet connection whereby people can surf the web whenever they want. Thus, downloading and watching any latest movie in websites like tonton.com, youtube, and bittorent.com can be accessed just in an effortless way. Furthermore, a research made by Domestic Trade Centre proved that, about 70% of citizens in our country prefer to download any latest movies and videos while only 15% of them choose to buy optical device as their collections. Therefore, labeling the optical discs does not seem to be working in preventing illegal action since only minority of Malaysian purchase them. Downloading any entertainment from the web, somehow can lead to degradation of moral values because some of the aggressive parts in the movie are not being censored. The icing of the cake is that the government should control the usage of internet among the citizens strictly.

Though the widespread news about labeling original optical disc by the government is published, most of the citizens are still choosing to buy pirate discs. Economic Malaysia Journal states that 99.1% of the citizens agree that price is the main issue for this matter. Usually, the price of the original optical disc is five times more expensive compared to pirate disc. Therefore, a lot of people are still able to watch illegal action from the pirate optical disc since the contents are not censored before they were sold. Rather than that, the availability of original optical disc is very limited where only certain places provide them compared to pirate ones. To prove that, famous Chinatown and popular Petaling Street are two of the most places to be visited by the citizens or even the foreigners. Besides providing a lot of unique and beautiful souvenirs, bootleg DVDs and CDs are very easy to be found. Malaysia is a well-known country yet this eyesore scenario is still happening.

Regrettably, irresponsible people who are expert in technology have misused their ability only to gain more money by imitating the original label of the optical discs illegally.  As a result, the buyers cannot identify whether it is original product or not. Try to imagine, if the underage teenagers buy the products from this irresponsible party such as movies or video games that contain banned action,  thus without parents’ guidance, they will easily get influenced by the negative values. In the meantime, they will absolutely practice those illegal actions in the real life due to the brainwashed by the dirty scenes. Global mass media is one of the sources of technology that is manipulated by the immoral people to carry out their illicit activity in order to form fake labels. In final consideration, these unethical activities prove that illegal action still cannot be prevented thoroughly.  Please bear in our mind that illegal animation, in fact, can be hidden bravery by the fearless man with the power of technology.

To put it laconically, other alternative ways should be implemented rather than labeling all original optical discs since this issue does not succeed to overcome illegal actions though it has been carried out about a decade ago. Please realize that people still have many sources to watch illicit scenes. Hence, we should find out the root for this problem that should be overcome rather than continuing what we have done so far to solve this matter.

Internet should be censored. Do you agree?

It is quite shocking to know that almost 80% of immoral teenangers watch pornography online. Please realise that teenagers are going to govern the country sooner. Are we going to hope for another 20% of teens only to fill the legacy  of our nation, yet the citizens behave violently and impolitely? How can a country be developed in this kind of situation? Therefore, we strongly agree that internet must be censored to decline the social problems among teens. Not only that, the frequency of cyber crime can also be reduce as well as scaling down the outspread rumors which can destroy the lives of many people.
Porno videos are rampant and widespread with easily accesed by any person including curious teens who one day, act as the pillar of society and head of a country. Porno videos contain dirty actions with indecent gestures besides lewd whispering of the immoral pornographer which are able to greatly pollute the minds, so that people tend to watch them over and over again. Consequently, without a proper sexual education, teens that have been exposed to those ghastly images will apply to their partners since they are more inclined to absorb information regarding this matter. Pornography online, therefore, contribute to unwanted pregnancies among teens and the transmitting of various diseased sexually. Then, world will be like a hell with many illegel nippers where social ills or even sexual crimes will colour the world. Hence, censoring the internet must be implemented to reduce degradation of moral values among teenagers.
Cyber crime nowadays are very cunning which can be categorised as the most solemn crime. It is a downside effect when people become more expert in using the modern technology especially the internet that covers all coverage in this world in a small system. Computer hackers can be seen as an illustration in cyber crime. It takes just to intrude on people’s privacy and obtain an individual’s personal information. Other than that, social websites such as facebook, myspace and twitter enable peoples to interact among them by sharing their personal information, pictures, and activities in a public view. This chance is taken by crooks to treat peoples in a smart way whereby the internet users cannot detect their bad intention. Usually, this `hat people’ act as amiable people who target the users to be a new friend and then become a new victim. So, internet security should be improved in order to provide a much better guarantees protection from cyber crime in an internet worldwide.
A desire to know about a well-known person is one of the interests that normally happen in each individual. To illustrate, political figure’s lifestyle can be the victim of rumors in a split second as the internet is the latest invention that can control the world and interact with others in long distances. It gives a chance to everybody to create a homepage or blog and upload almost everything including their leaders’ apologue. They have freedom to add any comment and speak out against country’s development fearlessness. Unfortunately, billions of people from all over the world can access to these websites and thus, they will have bad impression about the politicians from the entries of the blog. This expectation can also brings negative view to the citizens too. No doubt, internet can be codified as the most powerful tool for free speech and contributes greatly to the dignity of  the country regarding to the rumors that can spread online and play a vital role in destroying the lives of many people. In final analysis, internet must be censored in order to prevent the readers from surfing the inappropriate websites.
In conclusion, the government should play their roles in order to control the usage of internet among the citizens by censoring unbeneficial websites. We believe that people can still alive and kicking without no access to certain websites. North Korea, People Republic in China and Saudi Arabia can still develop even numerous sites are heavily and strictly controled by their national government. Definitely, internet censorship is not that horrible to everyone.

Getting to know us~

We are not anonymous..

Hi, my name is Nik. First of all, I want to thank you so much as you are willing to google this blog. Next, a little bit about myself, I was born on 17 March 1993 with a name Nik Muhamad Amirusyaref Bin Nik Ghuyub. It is five times longer than my nick name. This name is given by my father and I don’t know whether he thinks or not how can I give name of my son soon.  Never mind, whatever it is, I am too proud with it due to its significant meaning that I need to build it in myself. My hometown is in Terengganu. I lived there since I was born until now. About my appearances, I am the tallest person in my tutorial group and some of my friends describe me as a shy and quite person but it is absolutely false. ‘Dont judge a book by its cover’. Lastly, now I am struggling to futher my study in medical field to realise my mother’s dream which is she wants to see me as a doctor in future. InsyaALLAH..........

Proud to be a Muslimah,

Dear readers,
Always feel free to express yourself. I’m proud to be
NurIzzati Fathin binti Ahmad Subki and I feel free to be myself. 3rd December is a special, historical day in my life and now, I’m 19 who is still studying, learning, and always enjoy for being myself. I have no specific
hobby to be told, but I often do some activities which are beneficial to keep my health in the best condition. Being the eldest daughter is quite enjoyable. Usually, when I return back home during holiday, I feel like I am the apple of my siblings’ eyes because they will try to do what I ask for, tell me their experiences and even their top secrets! Well, actually, I miss them right now. Next, I am currently trying my best to achieve my dream in future, generally to be a successful lady someday. My advice, ‘learn the hard way, study the smart way’ (copied from my inspiring lecturer, Madam Sakinah Thomas). Words that may describe me are happy go lucky, amiable, simple, and active.
Okay, that is all from me.
